>I have been watching with interest for the release of the new Delta variable speed drill presses. But lately the Powermatic PM 2800 has also caught my eye. Frankly the PM has some table/fence features that look good. The better lighting feature is nice as well. The Delta will have a longer quill travel though.

Anyway...does anyone have experience with the PM 2800? Just curious.

hmmm...not sure I'd like that ...depending on the need involved.

Also the description says a 20.00 dollar surcharge is added to the delivery .....as well as the following:

-A $35 surcharge will be added if delivered to a residential address.

-A $35 lift gate fee will be added if a loading dock is not available.

-15% restocking fee on all returned merchandise. Please call customer service before returning product. Thats another 90 bucks to the cost eh.

Is it just Powermatic thats this way on deliveries or is it Rockler?

Anyway...cool looking drill press...Let us know what you decide to get and of course when the review will hit the press on it.

PS - Im looking at a Delta at an auction tomm...we'll see how it goes.
