>While I haven't had any problems with the switch (yet), I understand your issues and I have seen some machines with broken start/stop buttons. These are cheap parts and you can replace them easily. Try Automation Direct (.com) for the parts and a place where you can find something perhaps better. You can always call in and talk to the tech guys (not the salesman) at MM for their opinion.

>I had to replace mine this past December. MM has moved away from AEG for replacements and on to another manufactures. Sorry I forgot the name. The point is, the new replacement non-aeg switch from MM cost $145 plus shipping and fit just fine fine in my 2002 mm16.

You're absolutely right. To be clear, let me say that this sort of switch is completely wrong and dangerous for this application. Perhaps it wasn't the best place for a joke that could be misunderstood.

Actually, I checked the Grizzly website before posting here but I couldn't find their switches. All I could see was their on-line catalog of power tools but no accessories.

Seems like a high price to pay for a switch and I wonder if there is anything truly unique about the switches from MM, except the fact they are from MM... OEM parts are often more expensive than after-market while quality is the same.

>Dave, from what you are describing it sounds as if you have push buttons mounted to a face plate, or in an enclosure. If you can check eecontrols.com they have a link to AEG pushbuttons. Maybe you can identify what you have, and how it is assembled. Most Mfg. of electrical controls,i.e., General Electric, Square D, Cutler-Hammer,ect. would make a comparable replacement.
