Handy home make shop task light

>Many hand tool tasks in the shop are aided by side lighting, yet most shops only have overhead lighting (unless one is blessed with a window and it is daylight). This light is made from a VW wheel, a 1.75 x 1.75 x 48" piece of wormy cherry fit for nothing else, and a clamp light. The clever adjuster is shown in the second picture. With the degrees of freedom offered by the adjuster for height, and the swivel of the clamp light, the beam can be directed from the flood lamp onto the task at hand. The base makes the light stable, yet easy to move. I have been using it for dovetailing and it works very well.
