>With all the talk about clamps these days I was wondering. Does anyone use or have experience with the wooden bars clamps? These are the kind that you buy the head and tail and use a length of lumber to make up the bar.

Sure, but why not make the whole clamp. Not much

>Not much of job and they will work as well as any purchased clamp of that type. I sold mine made from walnut at my auction. They were well used and looked great
