Airmate battery.

Sid

>Hello

Has anyone substituted the battery in the Airmate?

I would like to get something cheaper than the $100.00 that Airmate wants.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Sid

>I believe most battery packs are made up of pretty standard battery cells that your local battery specialty store can usually replicate---often with better batteries than new.

About the only concern is if the pack you have can be opened. Some cordless tools have "molded closed" packs, so check it out and ask at your local batteries plus or interstate batteries stores.

I had to have mine replaced a couple of months ago. Went to a local battery store. Cost me $32 for the exact battery.
