>I will be in Atlanta and plan to visit Redmond and Sons, and Highland Hardware.

I would like to stop by some gallaries or such to see woodturnings, can anyone point me to some other woodworking/woodturning sites to see?

>Will you have space in you luggage :)? You can drop by Atlanta Wood Products and pick up some wood if you do. They do have a nice "cut-off" policy. So long as you leave six linear feet of board you can take the ends. You can pick up some nice tropicals.

You can drop by Nick Cook's place. The coffee is always on.

Don't know much about the galleries though.

>I reccomend all of the above, Nick Cook's, Atlanta Wood Products, Highland Hardware (especially if you catch the meeting) and have lunch or dinner at Mary Mack's if you like southern food. Of course, there is also a great Botanical garden, CNN and Coca Cola.

>He's also a very nice guy. Good teacher. Fastest turner I've ever seen. He's got a lot of lathes including one with a really long bed (maybe 8').
