>Hi I am making chair seats and am alternating the wood grain patterns on the edges (the u up with the U down) glueing but does the same rules apply for face glueing. I wanted to make these 1 1/2" thick is the reason for face glueing.

>If I understand correctly, you're gluing two thicknesses together to make up the 1-1/2". If so, just get a good even distribution of glue and reasonably uniform pressure across the surface. Basically same rules as for edge gluing.
