>It comes on late enough at night that I'm falling asleep trying to watch it...so I've missed much of Srs work.
I do like the Web themed bikes that Jr has done though. Quite a lot.
I'm not a rider so what I find attractive in a bike won't be what others may like.
The creative process and fabrication is the part I enjoy most.

>Myself, I am not surprised that Jr. went back to the web motif, I think his design capabiltiy has been about tapped out. When he said in the first part that he usually does this kind of stuff in round bar, I thought to myself the entire world knows you do it with round bar. I would like to see in action the 5-axis water jet they used to do the fenders though.
I was a real fan when American Chopper first came out, but got sick of the fighting and the reruns. They used to focus on the bikes and the fabrication, now it has too many soap opera tendencies. I think my favorite bike of all is the POW bike Senior did.
They need to do a show with Billy Lane, I would watch that one every week!
Tough call. I'm a huge Paulie fan, though.
Rod Peterson -- Ormond Beach
>Even though Mark thinks he's tapped, design-wise, I think you could make that argument even more so for Senior. He always goes back to old school. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I, too, love watching the fabrication. They've sure come a long way. Vinnie is actually my favorite on the show. I get to see them all in person twice a year, too.

I think Billy Lane might be doing some time,

>He ran head-on into a scooter rider early last year and I think his alcohol level was found to be a bit high. I haven't read anymore on this though. I'm a scooter rider (there I said it) and that's why the news about him got me attention. I like his bikes along with those of the late Indian Larry.

Rick does good work too.

I thought he was in jail?

Googled this:
Billy Lane had a BAC of 0.192 after fatal crash
It appears that the alcohol blood level tests that were taken from Biker Build-Off Winner Billy Lane have come back positive. William D. Lane also known as Billy Lane of Choppers Inc. in Melbourne Florida was arrested today when his BAC test came back reading 0.192. Florida state DUI law allows for alcohol content to be no more than .08.
Billy Lane turned himself in and was charged with DUI Manslaughter in the case related to the fatal accident involving Billy Lane and victim Gerald Morelock on September 4th.
It was reported by witnesses that Billy driving his black Dodge pickup had crossed the double yellow lines attempting to pass two vehicles when he struck and killed motorcyclist Gerald Morelock. Troopers wanted to wait on the test results to return before filing charges and arresting chopper builder Billy Lane.
Don't think he's going to be a TV star any time soon...

>I might agree but it sure beats a lot of the other junk on TV. I'm like some of the others, I enjoy watching the fabrication and following the design decisions. Frankly, many of the bikes look virtually un-ridable. Way too long and there is no way my arms would reach the handlbars on a few...at least not to ride.
The antics I can do without.

>Apparently not! I took this picture of him signing autographs last Saturday at the NYC MC Show. Given this reputation, I was surprised to find him to be a nice guy in person. Of course, he was there to promote his merchandise line.
Not a biker myself, but I do admire the metal work and painting techniques and enjoyed talking with some of the builders. BTW, very little in the way of tools offered for sale, same low end items found at flea markets.
