Powermatic replacement parts

Mitch from TN (formerly from NYC)

>As I've discussed on this board, I need to replace the switch on my powermatic contractor's saw. I also need to replace the throat plate. Does anyone know a source for these parts?

Thanks,

Mitch

>If you want OEM parts, you can order them from WMH Tools (parent company of Powermatic, Jet, etc.). Use the phone - their website is useless.

I'd suggest, however, that you take the opportunity to make some upgrades for not much more money. A magnetic switch is about $50 from Grizzly. For the throat plate, add a zero-clearance insert (readily available, or make your own for free), and while you're at it, add an MJ-Splitter.

>Mitch WHM tool group has a warehouse in Lavergne, Tn just south of Nashville. I don't know if you can order specific parts from there but if you live near Nashville I would give them a call.

Their prices were reasonable and it was drop shipped from WHM Group's TN location.
