Makita Mitre Saw Question

Tom Norton

>I have an older 10" mitre saw. No bevel just left and right swing. I have noticed a lot of run out as the saw starts up. I did rebuild it earlier this year with all new bearings. Any thoughts? I would not mind replacing it but my bench set up is built to accept this saw. I just looked at the Makita site and they sell a LS1030N lightweight. But mine is the older cast iron? one.

>I have the sam saw. I searched long and hard to find one used because I specifically did not want a compound. I wanted a dead on acurate mitre saw that could not go out of adjustment. With that big iron hinge it has stayed true.

I am not sure what you mean by run out when you start up. Can you expand a bit? Did yu replace the argot beargs or the motor bearings or both.
