Festool Dust Collection

Dan Clermont

>Hello Everyone

Picked up a Festool TS-55 from forumite Bob Marino this past weekend :smilewink

Unfortunately I thought it would fit a standard shop vac but it won't :sigh:

So, I found this hose at LV which fits the dust port on the TS-55 but I worry it may be too cumbersome to drag behind a Festool saw or Festool Plunge Router. Anybody tried it?

Or do I go with the standard non-anti static hose from Festool with a 1" Diameter as shown below?

The LV hose is slightly cheaper and more convenient as I work close to a LV store however the Festool hose is made for the Festool tool

Cheers

>Dan,

I have this hose kit and it definately is crush proof. I am suprised it hasn't asked me to return it.

The true test, I would buy another

Thats what I use...

>Only I got mine at the local Woodcraft. The saw is the older model, so I don't know if they've changed the connection size. On mine, the grey end of that hose is soft enough to force over the odd shape port on the festool. I used to use the same hose with a festool jig saw, but needed a soft rubber sleeve to make it work. Those are available at Home Depot in the slumlord plumbing section ;). They're these little grey sleeves, some of which reduce, that have hose clamps for tightening. Work great.

That hose is pretty un-crushable too.
