>I'm looking for reviews of the turning workshops taught by craft supply or any other place west of the Mississippi. I had a weekend of instruction a couple years ago and I'm pretty sure I'm building bad habits without knowing it.
>I'm not very familiar with the workshops west of the Mississippi. Anderson Ranch is a good place to go. There are also several really good symposiums that others will have to tell you about.
I have been ask to teach a course at Eureka Springs School of the Arts, in Arkansas, not CA., They are working up the schedule now for the Summer session. While turning will be part of my class, that will not be the featured part.
The shop at ESSA has 6 lathes, so I would bet there will be some sessions that feature turning.
Here is the directors address, if you would like to contact them for a schedule.
>There are 260 chapters in the AAW. Click on the link to see the list. Most of them have "hands-on" and some sponser workshops by nationaly known turners. I'm having one today if anyone shows up (ice storm).
They also have a Resource Directory that lists all the members, schools and lots of other goodies.
