Got Clamps??

Joe Burke

>I just finished clamping the face frame onto this case that's part of a room full of paint grade book shelves I've got going. The case is app 5'x8' .... a shade over and under respectively. I developed a system a long time ago that allows me to handle this type operation fairly easily, but jobs this size are still on the hairy side. I enlisted a bit of help carrying the frame into position, and 38 clapms later, it was all over.

>I've been using those bessey K bodies on its side for clamping face frames or edge banding. With those parallel jaws, it spreads the clamping preassure even along the jaw and you won't need to use as many as you did for your clamp-up job if you used them perpendicular to your project.

Save some dough on those clamps!
