Did anyone deal with VeneerSupplies.com?

Felix B

>I am looking into getting a vacuum press setup and so far I like what joewoodworker.com has in store.

The site looks very informative (one of the MOST informative i've seen) as far as veneering goes, equipment, etc., but that's only half the battle.

I am curious if anyone can comment on their experience as far as costumer service goes.

Thanks in advance,

F.

>I needed another dedicated vac pump for a project it looked as though I was going to get involved with, so with a bit of time on my side I bought all but the pump, vinyl and HH66 cement from Joe and built a system modified to my needs. The total for the 5+cfm pump came in close to 1/3rd of what a comparable pump would have cost had I plunked down the magic plastic.

With the pieces and parts at the ready, it took me about two weeks of after hours "play time", to have it how I wanted it, the modifications and building of it were fun.

Parts and service from Joe and his wife were great, the experience was top notch.

And yes, I did (am), continuing with the project, involves a 6' X 13' 30-mil vacuum bag. Yes, I initially evacuate with a larger vac to get the bag friendly with the surface, system runs nicely down to 25 inches, cycles maybe once every two hours for 15-20 seconds.

Good luck.

>I've bought veneer and adhesives, as well as a vacuum pump from VeneerSupplies. Everything was as-advertised. The veneers were just as I expected from the photographs on the web-site. Service is good and he does a super job of packing the veneers.
