JET Model 708315LSB Table Saw

>Subject: Model 708315LSB

I was looking for a lower price but good table saw. I thought the JET Model 708315LSB would be the one but I'm hearing a lot about the fence and miter slots. what do you think? HD has these in my price range but if the fence isn't good then why buy it. is there an upgrade to the fence by chance? I hear about how good the drive is and I need one of those but I also hear the fence sucks and the blades crooked. What saw is there that has a good fence and such but doesn't cost more then 3 bills? is a portable as good as a bench, what is the difference? I just want it to make wood boxes, dato faceframes and such.

Thanks,

Deven

The 708315 is essentially a benchtop type saw with a leg set. It's made of light materials, is undersized, and uses a universal motor. It looks like Jet's answer to the Skil saw that Lowes sells.
