>My wood table was broken by our moving company and I need to know if it can be repaired, no one in our area knows what to do with it. It is one of the table legs and it looks like a stress break at the screw towards the bottom, the dowel on the top is fine. Is it possible to glue and nail it back together or since I have been told it is the weight bearing part of the leg it will not hold? Please help! I miss my table!
>A picture would be worth a thousand words. Clean breaks are easy repair. Anything can be repaired. Never-the-less you are going to have to find someone to fix it. Ask at a cabinet shop or better still a refinishing shop. If you can't find these places ask at an antique store and they will know places that repair.
>Lisa, unfortunately, this happens too often with movers. I've done work for a few movers that broke or damaged furniture in the past. Did you file a claim or complaint with the moving company? That would be the first avenue to take if it's not too late.
