>This is a question about how fast you work.

I've been making a cabinet, and this weekend I resawed veneers for the side and back panels, thicknessed the veneers, joined them, and laminated them to some 3/8" Baltic Birch plywood. It all came out great. The only problem is that it took me all weekend to laminate up six panels, front and back.

I confess I'm not the quickest woodworker. I have a TV in my shop, so I take a lot of breaks to watch bits and pieces of whatever game happens to be on. And I like to take my time. But even at my pace, making and laminating veneers always takes a little longer than I expected. How much time do you estimate for sawing and laminating a veneered panel?

>From your description, I probably work at about the same pace as you. With interruptions to help kids with homework or baseball practice or whatever, I wouldn't normally count on being able to resaw, thickness and glue up six veneered panels in a single weekend. By my standards, you moved along pretty quickly last weekend! -- Paul
