>I am making an indoor tea cart which requires 4 "U" shaped laminated frames, each made from 7 white oak laminations approx 3/16 in thk. The "U" is 22 inch diam and the legs of the U are 17 inches long. Looking for recs on the glue. I need time to get the laminations applied with the glue and then wrestle them into the forms and clamped. gap filling is also desireable but my main concern is the time to get the glue applied and lams in the form. Not sure if titebond II is long enough and dont have any experience with anything else. Water resistance is not an issue. any help? thanks, j. smith

>I find that I get the longest working time using Unibond. The only problem you may have is if you shop is not heated, then you will need to keep the glue-up warm, possibly with an electric blanket.

I have also found that pre-forming the laminates makes the glue up much easier. It takes extra time but worth it for me. I soak a laminate in hot water for about 20 minutes and then clamp it to the form and let it dry overnight.
