Shop tour. *LINK*

Mark Nowicki

>My shop is (was) a single garage 9' x 18'.

Most of my tools are garage sale finds, or found through word of mouth.

Power tools are: 2 radial arm saws, 6" jointer, 14 inch band saw, Delta portable planer. Dust collector is 1.5hp with 4" flexible ducts.

Hand tools are a mix of all brand, all used or vintage. I probably have too many planes.

I have about 200 board feet of lumber at a time, mostly poplar. My favorite finish is paint, favorite style is "practical"

Hope you enjoy the tour

>Great shop. I have all my planes in 2 drawers and they are kind of hard to get to. I need to do what you've done but I don't have the wall space right now. when I get around to building the cabinets I'll try to add a space for the planes. I don't have nearly as many as you but I can't help myself when I see a good one.

>Good Morning Mark,

You are servred well by your organizational abilities. Everything is neatly arranged, which optimizes space in a small shop. I especially like the display of planes. Your space required a lot of careful planning, and you did a mighty fine job making it all happen.

>I like your shop to many planes NOT! you can never have to many planes. what is in the little blue/green box under the saws? and that plastic handled saw looks out of place.

>Thanks for the tour. Looks like you really used every inch in there. I like that saw holder, and something like it may be hanging in my shop soon.

In the last photo of the bench, what is sitting on top of it. Looks kinda like a homemade miter box.

I agree with the post above, we need more shop tours. Maybe I should clean up a little and take some pics.

>Sorry Ernie, there is no secret stash of chisels. The green box holds a Stanley 45.

>Good morning George

Thank you for your comments. Looks like I will be loosing some of that space to a freezer. My twin boys are going through a growth stage and they are eating my tool budget.
