>Good Afternoon Mike,

I've landed several times at Bater Field just outside of Atlantic City. Never in anything larger or more powerful than a J-3 Cub. I sure miss those days.

They talked about this at FlightSafety

Curt Harms

>when I was there a couple months ago. The guy landed with a 15 knot tailwind on a wet 2900 foot runway. C525A's has brake issues anyway and 1/8" of standing water can nearly double the dry runway landing distance. That model is a good airplane but there have been several runway overruns, usually by owner pilots who just HAVE to land at marginal airports 'cause it's 15 minutes closer to their front door than a more distant more suitable airport. I saw one at the Wichita service center that suffered an overrun but without the swim at the end. Rumor has it that insurance said "too bad, we ain't payin'. Performace charts only go to 10 knots tailwind. What's the landing distance for 15 knots tailwind?" Hmmmm.... $1M+ later.....
