>I'll be having a solo gallery show in $anta Fe NM in April of furniture/art/whatever you want to call it if you buy it. This small table will be included. Burnt pecan, brass wire and carving on the sides, old galvanized sheet iron all set about with brass brads on the top, and everything filled with tile grout. 36"L x 16"W x 15"H

>Good luck with your show. That is quite an interesting table. Can you tell us more about the design? Are the elements significant culturally?

>My work is informed by things from a lot of different cultures, especially architecture and household objects. This table has components adapted from Bhutanese temples, a mosque in Mali, wood bowls from Nigeria, and snuff bottles from South Africa.

Things that endure, things that last, ancient voices that speak to our hearts in modern times; these are the things that give us comfort and courage. Temples and towers that point to a higher plane. Religious objects that have an aura of sacredness. Household items that glow with a patina of lifelong loving use. The distinction blurs, and their story becomes our story.

>Looks like some kind of meso-American artifact, which I suppose it is. You never cease to amaze. Nice work!
