>The maple tree lease is a great idea, wish I had come up with that. Would have to agree on the calendar; what do you do with it? Seems a little bit vain to me, but then I am quite proud of my daughters too. All the gifts I bought myself were great. A little bit wierd but perfectly understandable is the bat house my MIL bought me so I could copy the pattern and make more bat houses. None of my gifts were bad. I even bought myself a great new fly tying vise yesterday; I think this is the gift I will enjoy the most throughout the years ;) My best gift this year was watching my daughters open their presents.

Perhaps you can put it somewhere out of the way where you won't notice the noise that much. But be careful--once she sees those stones, she may want more and bigger lapidary equipment to cut and polish rock. My Dad developed that as a hobby when I was growing up. Let me tell you, those machines (and rocks) are big and HEAVY! lol. But man, did that hobby make him happy!
