>Great minds must think alike...your mobile base looks exactly like the one I made for my drill press. The only think I don't like about the setup is that I'm constantly kicking that front wheel. I've removed part of the cam lever (until I'm ready to move it, of course), and it's a bit better.

>It is a Delta 50-345 base. I milled the rails to 1 1/2" square pieces of paduak. The base itself is supposed to only hold 300 pounds so I joined a 3/4" and a 1/2" piece of plywood and added some support underneath with hardwood to stiffen it. Fred
