Working with Padauk

Re: Working with Padauk

#2

I have used Padauk in a variety of projects.  I use it in my intarsia projects primarily for its pale orange color.  I find relatively easy to work with, much like walnut. It has been my experience that no matter what finish I use it eventually turns brown.  I have a Jewelry box I made 20 years ago that was finished with shellac.  At the time it retained its vibrant color.  Now it is a rich brown, much like mahogany.  My 2 cents.
