Tighten ground drill rod into the chuck and secure a dial indicator to the drill press table. Slowly rotate the spindle by hand and note the readings.

Clamp the dial indicator shaft into the chuck and position against the table. Slowly rotate the spindle by hand and adjust the table until the reading is the same, or meets your accuracy requirements.
