I inherited a Homecraft shaper with 1/3 hp 1725 rpm motor, along with plenty of knives. I'm in the process of rebuilding it and was wondering if it would work better with a 1 hp motor? I've made some poplar moulding but it's underpowered. Anyone tried this kind of upgrade?
