Toolmaking Art  Howdy!  I provided for my family doing carpentry while going to school. As a carpenter I learned that chisels were for opening paint cans, removing paint and scraping gum off of shoes.  Turning a cedar penny whistle was the task that set me on the road to hand tool use. I finally loaned out my last electric router and never asked for it back. I am much more reluctant to lend my chisels, someone might use one to open a paint can, remove paint or scrape gum with it.  Bob
