CONTEST: Build a Chair from Bulls%$t

Anyone interested in reviving WC contests?

I’ve got an idea inspired by this book from Lost Art Press (PDF download | patterns).

Not sure about prizes yet—maybe a hardcover copy of the book? I haven’t reached out to LAP, but they might be open to a collaboration.

Either way, this could be a great excuse to finally use that wood you’ve been holding onto for decades “just in case.”

Ellis mentioned he wasn’t interested in contests because coordinating them was a pain. I get it—back then, everything had to be done via email. But now, I think much of the process could be automated, using just forum features—or maybe the new gallery—so it could be much easier. I’ll need to experiment a bit to see what works best.

I’m just gauging interest here. No point in throwing a party if no one shows up.

So, what do you think? Any interest or suggestions?
