Disappointment Bowl
Rough day here in KY, tornado watch outside and turning turmoil inside. Started project bark edge bowl from a 9"dia. log section of a Black locust I recently felled, broke bandsaw blade while splitting the log. Mounted half section and began roughing out form and tenon, only to discover a split not visible under the bark. Decided for a "design opportunity" I don't recall ever attempting before by cutting off the top rim sapwood, haven't decided if I like it or not, what do y'all think? Will ponder the project for a while, after another microwave session or 2.
