Macassar ebony box

I have been digging out wood from my buckets.  This Macassar ebony was set aside close to 20 years ago because I was afraid I didn't have the skills to work with this wood.  Here is a current attempt.

About 2 1/2" tall and 3 3/4" in diameter.

Mike -- I love your boxes, particularly those of this form. I used to keep a large photo of one by my lathe for inspiration.

The beret cap is particularly nice

And this is why I keep a collection of images of your boxes for reference. (No fear, I sell none of my work...and it really doesn't compare to yours.)

Looks great, and I really like that form for boxes.

Make as many as you would like.  I don't own any designs.  Sell a million if you can.

It may have been a long wait but you have captured the beauty of the wood.
