cremation urn " inside"

I just finished 2 urns I don't know what to do on the inside I thought maybe black enamel paint or just plain spar varnish .I plan on donating them to a legion post or the VFW whoever, not sure. One is oak the other is pine and cedar. Thanks up front you guy's are great.....

Art, I don't put any finish on the inside of the urns that I make. I don't think it would serve any purpose unless it is just personal preference.

No finish inside here either. The ashes should be oven dry, so that shouldn’t affect the wood. If you want an easier option, provide a appropriate sized plastic bag. If the urn is a small opening hollow form, insert bag, blow it up like a balloon, then insert funnel to fill, then twist and wire tie the top.
