Still undecided about a grinder? *LINK*

>Just noticed the sale price of $159 at Mike's Tools for the Delta 23-725 8" Slow speed grinder. This is their "Big Boy" that Black and Decker reportedly will discontinue. Good, really heavy, almost Baldoresque grinder, and I bought mine for more money.

Get it while you still can, and for this money.

>Hi;

I bought the same grinder from Mike and he

even delivered it to the house. The grinder is nice and steady. I would do it again.

I didn't look it up but mike said it weighed

about 80 lbs. so it isn't really very protable

if that is a concern.

>I have one of those. It's a decent grinder........not sure it's quite worth the price charged, but what is these days? Not sure it needs to be quite that heavy either. Watch out for hernias. I use mine with a Oneway jig and the grinder isn't even bolted to the bench. It has never moved. It's very close to 100#.

>Not to disagree but this grinder is worth every penny. I forget mine is running if the lathe is on as I cannot hear it. It runs smooth and it is heavy which is really what you want in a grinder.

Cheap ones are just that cheap. As with all tools buy the best that you can afford. It is worth it in the long run. This grinder is a life tool not a throw away.

I have one of the above mentioned delta grinders and it is great. I didnt know how easy it could be to use a grinder until I got a decent one. My woodcraft slow speed grinder is sitting unused in the garage. Enough said. Jared Herbert
