>Does anyone know where Powermatic assembles their lathes. I thought it was somewhere in Tenn. but can no longer find any reference to the city they are built in.

Thanks for any help

>Terry's right. They used to be made about 50 miles from me but they were sold to a company that almost put them out of business. Jet bought them and save them.

The whole plant is gone. The shipping warehouse is in Lavergne tn and it is huge but most of the stuff comes direct from Taiwan to this warehouse.

We were fortunate enough to get a tour of the Mcminnville plant when the 3520 was first introduced. That was a quality operation. The first 3520's had a few problems but Powermatic listened and things got better. Then they went through the growing pains of moving to taiwan and the machine had a few problems. They listened again and solved most of them. It sounds like with the introduction of the 3520b that they may have listened to us some more.

>Thanks for the info John, I am looking to see if there is anyplace that might have re-built PM 3520's and I was thinking the plant might have them and would just talk a day drive there. So much for that idea. :-)

Thanks again John
