>Great product. I use it so sand down the finish I apply, normally shellac. Us the Abralon wet with mineral oil as a lubricant. You can use water as the lubricant if you are applying a finish that is water safe.

>Aloha Greg,
I have been using Abralon for a little over a year now. I use the 500 after I sand my bowls with 500 gr. sandpaper, followed by 1000 and 2000. I don't use steel wool anymore and with the Abralon, I don't worry about finding loose steel fibers stuck in the wood.
One area to be careful about, is when sharp edges are encountered. Use low speed and light pressure, as the Abralon pad will burn and melt onto the surface of the wood making it necessary to go back to sandpaper several grits to remove it.DAMHIKT Iwas introduced to it by a friend who I mentioned that I was having trouble with the buffing process causing scratches in the inside of a Milo wood bowl. We used the Abralon 360 cut into a 2" disk, mounted on a H&L pad on a drill, and removed the scratches, and proceeded with 500,1000,2000,4000, and it was as nice as if I had buffed it.
Aloha, Doug
