Black cherry bowl

Mike Schwing from Md.

>Black cherry, 15" wide, sanded to 320, 2 coats of Watco and then one coat of Watco Satin Wax (nice stuff!). This has not been buffed and doesn't even need to. that Satin Wax does a very nice job of adding a nice sheen.

Bottom detail is carved in and colored, signed and then sealed. (yes I know black cherry trees don't make red cherries, but no one else will) Comments welcomed, and have a nice Memorial Day weekend!

>Thats a great bowl Mike. I like the deep form; it allows more of the grain to flow. It would look good filled with white popcorn, the in-turned rim would keep it from falling out. Nice touch on the foot.

Thanks for posting.
