OT: Verizon Email heads-up

>It seems that big brother Verizon sees fit to block whatever domains it chooses, both in the States and abroad. I have clients who can't get confirmations or itineraries from Expedia or emails from relatives England and Canada. I have missed a lot of legitimate email that originated here in the States and apparently cannot get email from tool makers in England. I no longer trust Verizon for anything important so I have changed the email in my profile to my gmail account. Those of you who rely on Verizon as your email provider should be aware of this. There is a class action suit against them, but I am sure it will not change a thing. This really ticks me off.

>Carole, Are you using a Verizon or Verizon modified version of Internet Explorer? Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird work better for me than the Yahoo/Internet Explorer software. Give them both a try. You will be able to set your own browser and Email filters, plus no "pop-ups"!

>That's not the problem. Verizon actually blocks many domains and they admit to doing it. They refuse to give you the option even if you want mail from that domain. You can fill out a complaint form "requesting" that the blocking of certain domains be reviewed but I don't know of anyone who has sucessfully had a domain added to the white list. They apparently just ignore the forms. Their high-handed attitude about it really has me furious.
