>Sean,
I bought a couple hundred $$$ worth of really, really Black Ebony from Amazon Exotic Hardwoods at the Southern States Symposium. The owner is James Lie. I understand that he has brothers in S. America and Africa doing the buying at the far end. He is very fair on his prices. One piece I bought was 3"x3"x21". It was sticker priced at $105, I bought some Pink Ivory with it, and James gave me a good deal on it all.
