buffing system

Hello: Woodcraft has the beall buffing components for bowls on sale this month. There are 3 different sizes of the buffs, 2,3, and 4 inch diameter I think. I turn bowls that are 8 to 18 inches in diameter. I would think that the large size would be what I would need. Any comments or advice on this? I have been considering buying this stuff for a while and with the sale price this month I could save afew bucks. Any comments? Thanks in advance Jared

>Anything with a larger than 10" internal diameter can be buffed with the wheels....no need for the "bowl" buffs. That said, I have the 2", 3", and 4" set. The 2" set is rarely used (the small diameter makes all the buffs too hard). The others are for bowls and such that are too small for the wheels. I find that I have to spin them faster than the wheels for get the desired results.
