>Next weekend (Fri-Sun) I am going to Savannah with my wife while she attends a professional conference on Saturday. I will just be knocking around town Saturday during the day, and was wondering if there was any woodworking or woodturning stuff to see. Anyone know of anything?

>Hey, if you are in Savannah, just walk down the street along the bay and observe the design of some of the old buildings and the turnings they used. Also, some of the mansions, in nearby communities can add inspiration. This is awsome territory for woodturners. Have fun!

>I was in Savannah a couple weeks back. There is a riverfront shopping/tourist area. They are these old buildings and very cool. In one store front is an art gallery that features a lot of turned goods (pens, bowls, candlesticks...).
If you get a chance to be there at night they have some ghost tours. We went on a midnight graveyard tour, the guide was one fantastic story teller and well worth the $10.
