>What does a turner do for a father-in-law who says he needs a plunger?

He loved it!!

Jack

If Thursday is Cinco de Mayo, maybe today could be Sinko de Plunger. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Even still, that's got to be the fanciest plumber's helper I've ever seen. Nice job.

I tried some captive rings...unsuccessfully.

>Beautiful job!

Makes an otherwise ugly contraption more acceptable in the bathroom. It might even sell in the craft shows! At any rate, I am going to try it. I am sure it will be a conversation piece.

>My wife said she thought they'd go very well at craft shows.

I'd like to try one with a fancy base with tall sides and see if one of the gift shops I wholesale to would carry it. Might make a nice shower gift for a bride about to take the plunge.

If not, an early Christmas Present.

>Nice job Jack! However, it has already been done, and I fear you have not only copied someone else's art, but you probably did not get enough money for the piece! Several years ago there was a link posted here for some art exhibit of turned art. Part of it was a bunch of turned plungers that were being offered for sale at exhorbitant prices, if I recall correctly, in the thousands of dollars. The whole thing began a debate on art, good or bad, and degenerated to the point where someone climbed into a pink tutu to illustrate his point.

I hope your father-in-law enjoys it though. I would hate to see all that work go down the drain!
