>That website is an excellent resource for turners. The site owner was a friend of mine who recently passed away. He was a great guy and an extraordinary turner of segmented vessels. He was a member of our local turning club and is sorely missed. His wife decided to sell most of his tools and she offered them to the turning club and I was lucky enough to buy one of his gouges and a scraper so I can think of him when I use them. Rich was very generous with his knowledge and experience as his website shows. His mind worked a little differently than most of us in that he could visualize his pieces in 3D and then figure out how to actually do it. His vacuum system is simple and effective. It had to be since his pieces sold for thousands of dollars and took weeks or months to complete, so he could not have things flying around the shop.
