McNaughton Core Saver Questions

Jorge Castaneda ~ Downeast Maine

>Hello,

For my recen B-day I received a McNaughton coring system, one daughter gave me the standar and another gave me the mini, a set of blades and adapter.

I can not see why I need an adapter, in this picture, the adapter kit.

>The adaptor kit is used with the mini center saver. The dog bone shaped piece slips between two posts and makes it so you can use the mini cutters in a level position, when held up against the crossbar. The ring tightens the gap between the same two posts to keep the cutter from tiping. You definitly need this adaptor set with the mini set using the regular tool post holder.

>You do not need the adapotors. They are for people who have the old three pin head sytem. You have a four pin head.
