>I will be picking up some freshly cut elm, arizona ash, and hackberry logs tomorrow. I've turned elm and hackberry but I'm wondering about the arizona ash. It's considered a trash tree around here but they do get quite big. How well does it turn?

>Ash is one of my favorite woods to turn. It's stable, turns well, sands well, has nice figure sometimes, and when it's dry it is very hard and durable.

This ash bowl is 13"w x 5"h and finished with tung oil. It's one of Theresa's favorites.

>Thanks guys. Just leaving a little bit of bark can make a nice accent. I got lucky on that bowl.

Dan I sent you an email separately - you can stop buy and see more if you want.
