>This is a number of firsts for me. Even though i have been turning for a while most of my recent work is in stone.

First green wood, first green burl, first natural edge and first microwave drying. I lost part of the natural edge because this small bowl twisted so badly during the drying. It is 3 1/4" wide and 2 3/16" tall.

Comment, critisim always welcome.

>Nice swirl pattern. Let me see if I understand this. It actually twisted and shifted during the drying? That must have been a "wound up" burl.

>Went in round, came out an oval. The bottom was so out of round I had to sand it flat and mount it on a different scrap block to finish it. Really quite interesting just not what I wanted.

This was the smallest of 9 pieces off the same tree so I will have fun and keep on playing and see what I get.
