VL100 Bed XTN.

>Today I recieved a Bed Extension for my Vicmarc VL100. I purchased it from Craft Supply, nice people to deal with.

The bed is listed as being 23", however in reality it is 19&1/2". Does anyone have one of these and what does it measure.

The other thing that surprised me was the poor quality of the casting. Not all of the molten metal made it into the mold and there are thin areas on the outside edge and near the ways. This has resulted in one of the ways being significantly thinner than the other, when viewed from the underneath side.

Has anyone else had similar issues? I appreciate any feedback and advice.

>I would not be too concerned about the difference in length unless it is going to affect what you plan to do but the poor casting and different thickness of the ways would definitely get me in the complaint mode. Since they do not give these things away, you should get what you pay for.
