Gloat - Bonnie Klein New Book
Molly Winton
>The pages are still a little warm. This is 'hot off the presses' and one of the first books to be sold for Bonnie's new book. I bought this at last night's club meeting. Bonnie is one of our members. This is a fun book with basic projects designed to hone skills, and be fun to make. There are 12 different projects described with good step by step photos and narrative. The projects include making an acorn box, carrot pen, sunburst earrings, spiral chatter eggs, letter opener, stir fry spatula, Spin top, tool handle, whistle, yo-yo, honey dipper, and purse mirror. She also details how to use a chatter tool effectively, and make spiral chatter with a gouge, as well as use pens for color. I would classify the projects in the beginning/intermediate skill range. It's a fun, very user-friendly book. Retails for $14.95 and can be found, according to Bonnie, "just about everywhere". Amazon is one retailer. ISBN: 1-56523-260-7.
