>Does anyone have experience with the Grex Random Orbit Air Sander shown at the link below? It has a 105 degree head offset, 15K RPM and built in speed control. It also seem to be more ergonomic and less expensive than the Souix sander.

>At 8 cfm you need a pretty good size compressor. I would check for sure what your unit puts out before I ordered this. I have a 5HP 60 gallon unit that at 90 lbs. would not supply a orbital sander without running all the time. This is not good on your unit and you may end up spending more on repairs than you want to.

>At 8 cfm that's gonna cost you a fortune to run. Think of it as needing a true 3 hp motor just to run the air pump to supply enough air to run that thing. Believe me, you're not going tolike your electric bill. Those sanders are great where you're working off a 200-300 CFM industrial plant system, but are (in my view) way outside home and small shop utility.

>I found a link to the manufacturers page. The Air consumption is only 2.2 SCFM. A mid size compressor should handle this OK.
