>Hi Chad,
Nice haul of wood! If you have the space and can do it, it might be nice to store it in log form so that when you want to make half a dozen blanks or so, you can go out and chainsaw off a few chunks. The ends will check and crack, but the body of the log should stay solid. If you have a lot of storage space indoors, you could go ahead and section it into bowl blanks.
I'm sure that others with much more experience with this than I will weigh in soon.
Good luck,
Mike

>It depends on what you intend to do with it. I don't like turning red oak or cedar - too "stringy". I do like flat work with both. I would check out Woodmizer and find someone with a portable bandsaw mill or get a chainsaw mill. I would rough them out into planks and stack them with stickers after coating the ends with anchor seal or a similar product (tar, many coats of paint). You can then plane them after a year or so.
