>Not me.As far as I'm concerned, for 2500.00 you can't go wrong.Oneway is a fine lathe, and I won't take anything away from them, but for around 5000.00 or more for a 1-1/5hp.to me is a bit much. Then they want to charge you around 210.00 for an extra 1/2hp.There's a lot you can do with an extra 2000.00 plus $$$.

>Sure but until I win the lottery it ain't gonna happen. I'm very happy with my powermatic but the 2436 Oneway is an awfully nice machine. I would have to look at the Stubby however. I turn a lot of really different stuff and the versatility of the Stubby and it's compact size might fit my style and the shop space better.

>I just got back from Arrowmont where I turned on a Stubby and an Oneway. Both are nice lathes, but I wouldn't trade my Powermatic. However, I do like their moveable power switches.

>Hedonic adaptation- just getting a Oneway will not do anything except deplete your bank account. You have to use the sucker, and the PM is just fine.
Social discrimination- there's always a bigger, better lathe out there, so getting the Oneway will only be a step on the never ending upgrade cycle.
I have a PM and it's all right.

>I turned on a friend's Oneway and have turned on the big Jet, the one what looks like a PM. I will stick with my 3520. Had it going on 3 years and it has never let me down.

>If I ever honestly believe that the 3520 is the limiting factor on my turning, yes. Until then I have many other tools to buy.
