righteouswoods.net - anyone know about them?

Mark Kauder. Phenix City, AL

>I normally get my exotic hardwoods from a local branch of Atlanta Wood Products Center. I like being able to personnally select each board (I am sure we all do). However there are some woods they do not carry

I have been searching for some time for someplace that carries exotics in 8/4. That way I can cut strips the right thickness off the slab, rather that taking a 4/4 piece, ripping it to the right width and then resawing to thickness.

ANYWAY, The only place that I have found so far that carries two of my favorites (Yellowheart (Pau Amarillo) and Bloodwood) in 8/4. The prices are good, and even with UPS shipping will beat the price per bf I pay for 4/4 from the local guys.

Are any of you familiar with them?

Mark

>Hi Mark, yes, I have been there....it's in the Boston area, a couple of minutes away from Beverly,MA where my daughter attended school.

I have purchased quite a few pieces from them, all with good success. Nice holly stock!

The name is derived from the fact that the owner is a devout Christian, and he uses some of the proceeds to fund good causes.

You will leave there with some good wood and a good sermon to boot.

>Mark,

another alternative is Tropical Exotic Hardwoods of Latin America. They're located in San Diego, CA. I was just there on a business trip last week and bought $400 worth of exotic burls and the like. They had several large rows of 4/4 and 8/4 exotics, and I know that bloodwood was one of them. Don't know about the other, but they had so much and so many species that it's likely they'd have what you're after.

I'm not affiliated in any way, just real impressed. Of course, being from northern Indiana, it doesn't take much to impress me.
